What I Did When the 'C' Word Hit

The inevitable has happened, I’ve got Covid. Here’s what I did in the first 12 hours of testing positive to help myself.

So here is what happened leading up to me testing positive:

My daughter tested positive on Wednesday when I did a rapid antigen test on her after she had a day sleep and woke up presenting symptoms. We immediately locked down our household and tried our hardest to avoid it by washing hands, sanitising etc… but as you can imagine when a 3 year old is poorly, they need their Mumma!

I had mild cold symptoms but tested negative. Wednesday night and Thursday were filled with sorting cover for classes and a couple of online classes. I woke on Friday with worsening symptoms but still felt ok energy wise. I did our online countdown and Mama Cod orders so we had groceries and a yummy dinner sorted. Did a workout, had lunch and hit. the. wall. After lying down for a bit (unheard of!) I took another test and sure enough it was positive.

Thankfully, I still had my appetite so we enjoyed a beautiful meal al-fresco, sorted the kids, put them to bed then here’s what I did:

1.

Whisky

I had a whisky. That’s right! A fine glass of high quality whisky to soothe my throat, and my soul

2. Tea

I filled my 500ml Monti cup with my favourite peppermint infused tea and added my adaptogens in.

3. Bath

Loaded with epsom salts and lavender. I also applied a detox face mask to ensure I was drawing toxins from head to toe!

4. Yin Yoga

I chose 4 yin yoga poses for the immune and respiratory symptoms. I practiced next to my bed so I could jump straight in afterwards

5.

Straight to Bed

For an all night Savasana with my Doterra easy air essential oils on my pillow, feet, chest and throat.

I hope you find this useful. These were all things I could do for myself easily and when I woke this morning my symptoms hadn’t worsened.

I have also stocked up on vitamin C, D (with K) and zinc for the whole family.

Please reach out if you have any questions, particularly if you need some guidance around the yoga. Doing my 7 day online trial would be a great option. It costs you nothing and has a number of yin style immunity classes. Just a way I can help you at this time 🖤

Sending love,

Jane 🖤🖤🖤
